I found the readings this week to be very interesting and discussed the real threats with preservation issues. Will the image quality be up to par? Will the metadata enteries be correct? How will this affect physical book collections? When the technologies change will the originally digitized images formats be compatable?

How quickly are digitization technologies changing in order to make digitization more efficient and to make the digitized images of better quality?
